Curriculum Vitae First Impressions
Employers get many applications for jobs that they advertise, and if you want to get noticed then the first hurdle you need to get over is first impressions.
If your CV is too long, too cluttered, doesn't look presentable, or isn't in the right format then the chances are that it will be left near the bottom of the pile, rather than on the shortlist of preferred CV to read.
Significantly, not every CV is read by employers, and at the very least you need to make sure that yours gets read. Presenting a good first impression on your CV doesn't necessarily mean that you will get the job, but it does go a long way to helping get your CV read, and helping you get noticed.
