Choosing professional CV companies guide – spotting a good CV writer

Significantly, most CV companies do not advertise the qualifications of their writers, quite possibly because the writer does not have qualifications or the writer’s qualifications are not up to much. (If the writers were well qualified then there is little doubt that such companies would be all too keen to advertise this fact).

That said, qualifications are just one asset that a good CV writer should possess. Other (more important factors) include extensive multi-sector CV writing experience, whether or not they work full-time/part time, and (most important of all) genuine writing talent.

Of these, genuine writing talent is arguably the most difficult of all to discern (especially since you can't see your finished CV in advance). However, you can get a good idea about their talent if you know whether or not they are published writers (and published by a respected publishing company, not just self-published).
